The Red Reserve Roncotto is our most valuable and representative wine, therefore it brings the name of our hill. Produced with Nebbiolo, Croatina, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera and Ughetta di Canneto, partly subject to drying on the plant. The wine is an unrivaled red reserve, aged 24 months in barrique.
By its nature, Roncotto contains the essence of Roncotti and all the grapes that generated it inside the bottle. It is the perfect expression of the union between the vineyard and man, between the strength of nature and the effort to control it, between the suffering of the vines perched on impervious terrain and the effort of the winemaker to take care of it, all awarded at end by the pleasure of tasting the fruit of this synergy.
Thanks to the common origin from the same vineyard, the 6 important vines have been convinced to coexist from an early age, and the long aging in wooden barrels allows the grapes to express their potential and improve that of the others. And if you wait, you can hear their joyful shouting and even receive their hugs, a little vigorous and a little kind, however immense!
